Ever since he took over as president of the Tamilnadu badminton association, badminton in Tamilnadu has seen an exponential growth both in terms of the game becoming more popular and TN players achieving at the national and international level too. Our dynamic president is also the treasurer of the badminton association of India, an acknowledgement of Tamilnadu's importance in the country s governing body for badminton. He has introduced an awards scheme to reward and honor the achievements of Tamilnadu players, further encouraging the players to reach greater laurels!
Mr.Arunachalam, the calm and composed general secretary of the TNBA has been ably assisting the president in the day to day running of the TNBA, increasing the number of state tournaments to 18 from a paltry 6-8 when he took over in 2014.
He is an Executive committee member of the badminton association of India, part of three committees at the national level.
